The standards for determining the accuracy of a spring testing machine.
Author:
The primary requirement for small-load springs, especially high-stiffness precision springs, is high testing accuracy of the equipment. This is because even minor changes in displacement can lead to significant variations in test force. While ensuring the accuracy of test force measurement is relatively straightforward, guaranteeing the accuracy of displacement measurement in a spring testing machine is crucial for ensuring the precision of spring testing and serves as a standard for evaluating the accuracy of the spring testing machine. Consequently, an increasing number of users consider the accuracy of displacement measurement as a benchmark for assessing the quality of testing machines. In the national standards for spring testing machines, the requirements for displacement accuracy are quite low, which does not meet the demands of high-stiffness precision springs. Therefore, it is essential for testing machine manufacturers to enhance displacement measurement accuracy to satisfy user requirements. Many factors influence displacement measurement accuracy, such as detection methods, overall machine structure, machine stiffness, parallelism of the pressure plates, measuring components, materials, and load-induced displacement sinking. As long as these factors are addressed, ensuring displacement accuracy is not a problem. The detection of spring testing machines is conducted strictly according to standards for displacement measurement, ensuring that the test force remains consistent regardless of where the spring is placed on the pressure plate. This guarantees that no load will cause the load sensor to sink within the full range of test force. Additionally, the loading method of the spring testing machine significantly impacts the test results. Early loading methods primarily used ordinary AC motors to drive the transmission system, with non-adjustable loading speeds. For elastic components like springs, due to the presence of rebound stress, the data collected during rapid compression differs greatly from that collected during slow or static compression. Nowadays, variable speed systems such as AC servo speed control systems are commonly used to realistically simulate the working state of springs, allowing for accurate measurement of internal stress in that state, providing a basis for spring design. With the development of computer technology, the limitations of microcontrollers have been improved by microcomputers. Intelligent features such as expert systems for function settings, parameter selection, databases, clear Chinese window interfaces, and simple mouse operations have made it possible to achieve the most ideal state during the spring testing process. The level of intelligence has significantly increased, allowing operators to easily click the mouse to measure and control according to any pre-set mode. By setting different test speeds and parameters during the testing process, the testing mode and the entire testing process can be controlled according to user preferences. Test curves and data are displayed in real-time, and test data can be calculated, organized, and output according to industry or enterprise standards. Furthermore, past testing processes and results can be queried, with powerful calculation and statistical functions replacing the previously complex tasks, greatly reducing the workload. Additionally, the application of computer network technology will integrate the detection control machine (referred to as the lower machine) with the main control machine at the computing center (referred to as the upper machine), enabling the transmission, processing, and comprehensive management of test data. In the central laboratory, the upper machine can achieve comprehensive management of the lower machine group.
Small loadSpringThe primary requirement for high stiffness precision springs is that the testing accuracy of the equipment is high, because even a slight change in displacement can cause a significant change in the test force. Ensuring the testing accuracy of the test force is relatively easy, but ensuring the accuracy of the other parameter, displacement, of the spring testing machine is key to guaranteeing the testing accuracy of the spring and is also the standard for judging the accuracy of the spring testing machine. Therefore, more and more users regard the accuracy of displacement testing as a standard for measuring the level of the testing machine. In the national standards for spring testing machines, the requirements for displacement accuracy are very low and do not meet the requirements for high stiffness precision springs. Therefore, for testing machine manufacturers, it is necessary to improve displacement testing accuracy to meet user requirements. There are many factors that affect displacement testing accuracy, such as detection methods, overall structure, overall stiffness, parallelism of the pressure plate, measuring elements, materials, and load displacement sinking. As long as these factors are overcome, ensuring displacement accuracy is not a problem.
The detection of the spring testing machine is strictly conducted according to standards for displacement detection, ensuring that the test force is basically consistent regardless of where the spring is placed on the pressure plate, and ensuring that no load will cause the load sensor to sink within the full range of the test force. In addition, the loading method of the spring testing machine significantly affects the test results. Early loading methods mainly used ordinary AC motors to drive the transmission system for loading, with an unadjustable loading speed. For elastic components like springs, due to the presence of rebound stress, the data collected during rapid compression differs greatly from that collected during slow or static compression. Nowadays, variable speed systems such as AC servo speed control systems are commonly used to realistically simulate the working state of springs, accurately measuring the internal stress of the spring in this state, providing a basis for spring design.
With the development of computer technology, the simple functions of microcontrollers have been improved by microcomputers. Intelligent function settings, expert systems, parameter selection, databases, clear windowed Chinese interfaces, and simple mouse operations make the ideal state during the spring testing process possible. The level of intelligence has greatly improved; operators can simply click the mouse to measure and control according to any pre-set mode. By setting different test speeds and parameters during the test process, the test mode and the entire test process can be controlled according to people's intentions. Test curves and data are displayed in real-time, and test data can also be calculated, organized, and output according to industry or enterprise standards. Additionally, past test processes and results can be queried. The powerful computing and statistical functions replace the complicated work of the past, greatly reducing human labor.
In addition, the application of computer network technology will connect the detection control machine (referred to as the lower machine) with the main control machine of the computing center (referred to as the upper machine), achieving the transmission, processing, and comprehensive management of test data. In the central laboratory, the upper machine manages the lower machine group comprehensively.
